
Juliene Bartley, CAP1
Juliene has spent her entire life in the presence of animals – everything from dogs, cats and rabbits to horses, cattle and goats! Her experience in caring for the animals in her life has included not only training, but breeding, grooming, showing, competing and kennel management.
Aside from a lifetime of personal experience, Juliene also has over ten years of professional experience working with dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds, both on an individual basis as well as in large groups. She has extensive hours of volunteer work at animal shelters and vet clinics, and has studied with top trainers in the industry. Juliene is currently the Operations and Training manager at Pride and Pedigree, one of the Bay Area’s most prestigious dog daycares.
Juliene is certified in the first level of the Competency Assessment Program (CAP) – a program that assesses the ability of clicker trainers – as well as Pet CPR through The Red Cross. She is currently working toward earning her Certification of Pet Dog Training (CPDT).
In her free time, Juliene apprentices under renowned performance horse trainer and breeder, Don Clark of Taylor Ridge Ranch, and competes in various equine sports. She also has a profound interest in Herding Trials, Rally-O, Trick-Training, Scent Work and Tracking.

Juliene’s life is shared with six(!) dogs: Sasha (German Shepherd/Husky mix), Taco (Chihuahua), Anubis (Pit Bull), Zorra (Long-Haired Chihuahua), Capone (also a Long-Haired Chihuahua) and Cash (Beauceron Shepherd/Rottweiler mix)…and two horses: Maverick (American Quarter Horse) and Kachina (American Paint Horse) – all of which are rescues!
